Privacy policy

Last updated

This policy explains what personal data Bazuvo collects, why, and what you can ask us to do with it. Bazuvo is run from Banasree, Rampura, Dhaka 1219, Bangladesh. Questions go to [email protected] or +880 1911-262495.

Two kinds of data, two roles

  1. Data about you, the business that uses Bazuvo: your account, your staff and your bills. We decide how this is used, and this policy covers it.
  2. Data about your customers, which your store collects when they buy from you. You decide what your store collects and why; we store and process it only to run your store for you. Your store should have its own privacy notice for your customers.

What we collect about you

  • Account details: your name, email address, phone number and password (stored only as a one-way hash).
  • Business details: your organization’s name, address and tax details, for invoices.
  • Billing records: your plan, invoices and payments. Card and wallet details are handled by the payment provider (bKash, SSLCommerz or Stripe); we keep only a reference and, for a card, its last four digits.
  • Security records: the sessions you have open, the device and browser they came from, sign-in attempts and an activity log of what was done in your admin and by whom.
  • Messages you send us, by email or phone.

What your store collects about your customers

Depending on how you set up your store: names, phone numbers, email addresses, delivery addresses, orders, payments, returns, reviews and answers to your forms. A medicine store may also collect prescriptions. This data lives in your store’s own database, separate from every other store’s.

Why we use your data

  • To run the service you signed up for, including sign-in, billing and support.
  • To keep accounts and payments secure, and to stop fraud and abuse.
  • To send you what you need to know: invoices, payment reminders, security alerts and changes to these terms.
  • To send you news about Bazuvo, only if you agree. Every such email has a link to stop them.
  • To meet our legal duties, such as keeping tax records.

We do not sell personal data, and we do not use your customers’ data for our own marketing.

Who we share it with

Only the companies that help us run the service, and only what each one needs:

  • Hosting and email delivery providers that store the data and send the emails.
  • Payment providers: bKash, SSLCommerz and Stripe, when you or your customers pay through them.
  • Couriers you connect, such as Steadfast, Pathao and RedX, which receive the delivery details of the orders you book with them.
  • Authorities, when the law requires it.

Some of these providers may process data outside Bangladesh. We choose providers that protect it.

Cookies

The admin uses cookies to keep you signed in and to protect forms against forgery. Your storefront uses cookies for the cart and the customer’s sign-in. This website, bazuvo.com, does not use advertising or tracking cookies.

How long we keep it

  • Your account data: for as long as you have an account.
  • A store’s data: while the store is active, and for 180 days after its subscription is cancelled, so you can come back or export it. Then it is deleted.
  • Invoices and payment records: as long as tax law requires, even after the account is closed.
  • Backups are overwritten on a rolling schedule.

How we protect it

Each store has its own database. Passwords are hashed, two-factor sign-in is available for every account, sessions can be ended from your admin, and staff see only what their role allows. Payments are confirmed with the payment provider before an order is marked paid.

What you can ask for

You can ask us to:

  • give you a copy of the personal data we hold about you;
  • correct it;
  • delete it, unless we must keep it by law (such as invoices);
  • stop sending you news about Bazuvo.

Write to [email protected]. We answer within 30 days. If your customer asks you for their data, you can export it from your admin; ask us if you need help.

Children

Bazuvo is for businesses and is not meant for anyone under 18.

Changes
