Checkout

A checkout that asks for the phone number firstand checks every price again before it takes the order.

Across the Global South, buyers type a mobile number before anything else, pick their upazila from a list and want to see the delivery day before they pay. Bazuva's checkout is built that way, and you lay it out in the page builder like any other page.

  • Phone first, guest checkout
  • 46 address formats
  • Delivery dates at checkout
  • Prices checked on placing

A checkout made for where your buyers live

  • 46

    address formats, one per country

  • 5

ready checkout layouts, light and dark

  • 3

ready thank-you pages to start from

  • 10

days a cart is kept for its buyer

The difference

Buyers do not leave because of the price. They leave because of the form.

Without Bazuva

With Bazuva

  • A long form asks for an email, a street and a postcode most buyers do not have.

The phone number comes first, and the address is picked from division, district and upazila.

  • The delivery charge and the day are a surprise after the order is placed.

Every delivery option shows its price, its dates and whether cash on delivery is taken.

  • A price changed in another tab, and the buyer is charged an amount they never saw.

The order is held back with the old and the new price, and the buyer confirms again.

  • A nervous double tap on Place order makes two orders and two bills.

However often the button is pressed, there is one order.

Addresses by country

46 address formats, and lists of places for Bangladesh and India.

In Bangladesh the buyer picks a division, a district and an upazila from lists, so a courier never reads a guessed spelling. Sell abroad and the form changes to the country's own: a state and a six-digit PIN in India, an emirate in the Gulf, a postcode in the United Kingdom. The visitor's country is chosen for them and can be changed.

  • Only the countries you choose are offered
  • Phone numbers read in the buyer's own country
  • Postal codes checked against the country's pattern
  • Saved addresses for signed-in customers

The price check

The total on the screen is the total on the order.

Every figure on the checkout comes fresh from your catalogue, your delivery rates and your payment methods. When the buyer presses Place order, Bazuva asks for all of it again. If a price, a delivery option or the stock moved since the buyer looked, the order waits: the buyer sees which line changed, from what to what, and confirms the new total.

  • The old and the new price named line by line
  • A changed delivery option is refused, never swapped
  • Stock checked again at the last moment
  • A double press answers with the first order

Delivery and payment

Each delivery option with its day. Each payment method with its own total.

Delivery options show their price, their dates and a cash-on-delivery badge; in a store of many sellers they are grouped by vendor. Payment methods show what the order costs with each one, so a price for paying cash or an instalment plan is clear before the buyer chooses. Coupons go on and come off in place, and the best automatic discount applies itself.

  • Pickup points the buyer can choose
  • Cash on delivery refused with the reason, where it is
  • Instalments, deposits and an advance shown at the step
  • Prescription upload and age confirmation when a line asks

Your checkout, your layout

Lay out the checkout the way you lay out a page.

Every step of the checkout is a block you place, word and colour: one page, two columns with a summary that stays in view, or three stages with a progress bar. Add questions of your own, such as a delivery instruction, and build the thank-you page from its parts. A layout cannot be published without contact, address, delivery, payment and the button, so a design change never breaks a sale.

  • 5 checkout layouts and 3 thank-you pages to start from
  • A total bar fixed at the foot of a phone screen
  • Your own questions, answered and kept with the order
  • The same price check whatever the layout

How it works

  3. 3

    Pick a layout

Questions about checkout

Can a buyer check out without an account?

Yes. Checkout works for guests and starts with a phone number. Customers who are signed in also see their saved addresses.

Do my buyers have to type a postcode?

Only where their country needs one. In Bangladesh and India the buyer picks the place from lists; other countries get their own fields, and a postal code is checked against the country's pattern where it is required.

What if I change a price while someone is checking out?

Their order is not placed at a price they did not see. The checkout shows the line that changed and the new total, and the buyer confirms again.

Can I sell to buyers outside Bangladesh?

Yes. Name the countries you sell to, and each gets its own address format and phone code. The visitor's country is chosen for them when it is one you serve.

How are abandoned carts brought back?

A cart left with a contact is marked abandoned, and every store starts with an automation that emails the buyer a link to the same cart. You can change its words, its wait and its steps in the automation builder.
