Inventory

Know why every number changed, not just what it says today.

Every unit in Bazuva has a place and a state: available, held for an order, damaged, waiting for a check or on its way. Each change is written down with who made it, why, and the order or count it came from.

  • Stock per location
  • A ledger of every movement
  • Counts and low-stock lines
  • Holds for carts and orders

Stock, counted the careful way

  • 7

quantity states kept for every item at every location

  • 13

reasons a movement can carry, from sold to shrinkage

  • 15

minutes a cart holds stock by default

  • 5

units: the low-stock line until you set your own

The difference

A stock count in a spreadsheet is wrong the moment someone sells.

Without Bazuva

With Bazuva

  • Ten pieces show as in stock, but three are damaged and two are promised to orders.

Available, held for orders, damaged, under a quality check and incoming are counted apart.

  • The count dropped by six overnight and nobody knows who changed it or why.

Every movement is in the ledger with its reason, the person, the time and the order or count behind it.

  • Two buyers pay for the last piece and one of them gets an apology call.

Adding to the cart holds the stock, and a hold that is not used goes back by itself.

  • Two staff edit the same item at once and the later save wipes out the earlier one.

A save made on old numbers is stopped, shows what changed, and asks to be saved again.

Stock in named states

Available is only one of the numbers that matter.

Each item keeps its quantities per location: what you can sell, what is promised to orders, what is damaged, what waits for a quality check, what you keep back as safety stock and what is on its way. Change a number right in the list, choose a reason, and it is recorded.

  • Seven states per item and location
  • Quantities edited in the list with a reason
  • Bulk adjust, filters and export
  • Find an item by scanning its barcode

The stock ledger

Every movement written down, and nothing ever erased.

Open any item and read its history: each change with the quantity before and after, the reason, the person, and a link to the order, import or count that caused it. A request that arrives twice is recognised and applied once.

  • Change, quantity after, reason and who, for every movement
  • Links to the order, import or count behind it
  • Repeated requests applied only once
  • Levels per location on the same page

Holds for carts and orders

The last piece goes to one buyer, not two.

When a buyer adds an item to the cart, it is held for them. If they check out, the hold becomes part of the order; if they leave, it is released after the time you set. Draft orders and order edits hold stock the same way.

  • Stock held when it is added to a cart
  • Released by itself when the hold expires
  • Draft orders and order edits hold stock too
  • Packs take their full quantity from one stock

Counts and low stock

Count the shelf, see the difference, apply it in one step.

Start a stock count for a location, enter what is on the shelf, and Bazuva shows the difference against what it expected. Applying the count writes each difference into the ledger. Low-stock lines are set per item, and an item is flagged once each time it crosses its line.

  • Counts per location with the variance shown
  • Each difference recorded as a movement
  • A low-stock line per item, or one for the store
  • Stock counts imported from a sheet

How it works

Set up your places once. Every sale keeps the count.

  1. 1

    Add your locations

Warehouses and showrooms, with an address, a priority and whether each one ships online orders.

  2. 2

    Bring in your stock

Type quantities on the product, import a stock sheet, or bring them with a Shopify CSV.

  3. 3

    Sell as usual

Carts hold stock, orders take it, returns put it back, and each step is in the ledger.

  4. 4

    Count and correct

Run a count, apply the difference, and set the low-stock line for each item.

Questions about inventory

Can I keep stock in a warehouse and two showrooms?

Yes. Add as many locations as you have, decide which ones ship online orders and in what order, and see each item's quantities per location.

What happens to stock when a buyer leaves the cart?

The cart held it when it was added. If no order is placed before the hold ends, the stock goes back to available on its own. The default is 15 minutes.

Can I see who changed a stock number?

Yes. The item's ledger lists every change with the person, the time, the reason and the order, import or count it came from. Nothing in it is ever edited or removed.

Can I count stock and fix the numbers in one go?

Yes. Start a count for a location, enter what you found, review the differences, and apply them. Each difference becomes a movement in the ledger.
